A Nerd's Bucketlist
Here is a bucket list, and it will be actively updated (and hopefully also actively checked) in the future.
Below I added some updates from 04/04/2022. The newest updates were made on 01/25/2025.
- ✅ Travel to at least one country except for US and China
- Done! I’ve made two international trips (finally!) in July and August of 2023, one to 🇨🇭, and the other to 🇹🇭.
- I traveled to 🇯🇵 twice, 🇫🇷 once, and 🇪🇸 twice in 2024!
- Fui a 🇲🇽 dos vecez en 2025, a Guadalajara y CDMX.
- ✅ Keep running
- I ran a 10k race in November 2024 and placed the second in the women’s group.
- I’ve ran an official half marathon and will run two more in 2026 hopefully.
- I ran an unofficial marathon distance in Feb2025, which took me 4:49:03 to finish. Still very proud of myself.
- I hope to be able to run a half marathon under 2 hours!
- ✅ Have a long distance roadtrip~~
- I visited to Yellowstone and Grand Teton in June, 2021. Checked!
- We drove from Califoria to Wisconsin in summer 2023. It was a nice roadtrip.
- We visited Joshua Tree NP for Christmas 2024.
- Go skydiving at least once
- Not yet, not a current priority
- ✅ Go hiking at a real mountain
- Many times thanks to the great collection of trails in CA.
- ✅ Go to a live event of my favorite folk band, Acetre, although they are located in Badajoz, Spain
- I did it finally, in December 2024. I watched Acetre’s performance in Medina del Campo, Spain. It was a concert of a lifetime!
- Watch a live sumo game
- Not checked either
- ✅Continue to publish the work I have done - all done
- 🚧 Read the following books:
- The Gifts of Imperfection by Brené Brown
Daring Greatly by Brené Brown- ⛔ Modern Buddhism by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso (I don’t like this book so I won’t read it further)
Born to Run by Christopher McDougall- The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo
